Brian Evitts, CFO and Co-Founder

Brian spent eight years in the US Navy as a nuclear propulsion chemist before utilizing his business MBA from NC State as a manager for a nationwide propane distribution company. Fifteen years of home brewing led Brian to the Siebel Institute, where he earned his certificate in brewing from the World Brewing Academy. Though Brian still spends the majority of his days brewing beer, it’s his love of the industry—and the unique and exciting people that make up the industry—that Brian enjoys the most.

Brian is a proud father and private pilot, though these days he rarely has the time or opportunity to fly. Brian’s favorite quote: “Don’t be part of the problem. Be part of the solution.”

Mark Perry, Co-Owner

Mark was born up the road in Moncure, NC, and eventually moved to Virginia.  He joined the Army and stayed over 11 years, starting off as a Private and ending as a Chief Warrant Officer 2 Pilot. After leaving the Army, Mark continued working with the military in other capacities.  He is a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Special Forces Association.

Mark had his first true Craft Beer around 2000, and thought what an awesome alternative to what is mainstream!  He became involved in a Virginia based brewery start up in 2015 (which is doing well), and then he met up with Scott again in 2016, and was very impressed with Railhouse Brewery (they were impressed with him as well).  Mark soon joined the team in Mid-2018.  He strives to help us continue production of the best product possible along with serving the community.

Jeremy Reynolds, Co-Owner

Still serving as an instructor pilot in the Air National Guard, Jeremy's love for beer grew out of several trips to Germany and other locals experiencing beer as far away as Kenya. Jeremy has a technology & business background. He's an Inc. Military Entrepreneur and a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. His favorite quotes are anything that John Wayne said.

Mark Wathen, Co-Owner

Mark joined the Railhouse Team in January 2015 after being a regular customer since 2011.  Mark’s Dad, Robert “Bosco” Wathen served in the Air Force during the Korean War and began home brewing beer in the early 1960’s.  Mark capped each bottle manually after his Dad siphoned and filled them, once the brew was ready.  Bosco’s Brew was welcomed and consumed quickly by family and friends.

Mark is proud to be a part of the Railhouse Brewery Team and has always been humbled by our passion for supporting All Service Men and Women around the world.
